Information About the Calculator and the Programs
These programs, (More than 45), were designed for Shop and Field use, primarily for the Custom Sheet Metal Trade; however they can be used by most trades like the Welding Trades, Plumbing Trades, Carpenter Trades, Insulators Trade, Masonry Trades, Machine Shops Etc. The programs in the manual all have samples you can run through with your calculator in hand to make them very easy to understand. It is VERY IMPORTANT to read ALL the “NOTES”, they help you to understand and will make things clear. These Layout programs are designed for shop layout using the same tools you would use on the layout bench, I.E., a 48” Steel Rule, a pair of Trammel Points, Large & Medium dividers, 1 to 2 pair of Small Dividers, a sharp Scratch Awl and a Combination Square, all to transfer the calculated dimension’s to the material, remember the Calculator does all the Math!!! The Utility Programs are good for finding information quick. The Utilitiy programs will find any Angle or Degree, Degree of any Roof Pitch, solve any Triangle, Find any Radius, Degree or Length of any ARC, Calculate Cubic Yd’s of Concrete/Sand/Dirt, Layout a Stair Case and much more, just as fast as you can punch the Key’s.
If you already know Sheet Metal Layout, this tool will save you about 70% of your total Layout time. If you don't know the Layout math, you will be able to compete with the person that does, and its dead accurate!! Don't let the look's of the Calculator Intimidate you either. You use the Calculator just like the simplest basic calculator, the programs themselves do all the fancy math for you. All you do is punch in the numbers it's asking you for to do a particular Layout or Utility, and it gives you the dimensions or information in the correct order of use every time you hit the "EXE" Button, that you would apply to the material by using your standard layout tools, above. It gives you the Dimensions in Decimal form first then in the Fractional form second, (to the closest 32nd of an inch). You just have to learn to scroll to the PRGM, RUN and LINK Icons on the desktop.
The LAYOUT MANUAL is a Visual Manual that show's you what the Calculator is trying to convey to you. No reading except the NOTE'S which are short, to the point and very important to read. The programs in the manual all have samples you can run through with your calculator in hand to help make the Layout very easy to understand. The "Visual" Manual is for the person that can read a drawing faster and easier than they can read the written word of instruction, like myself, and forgot what they had read at the begining because of shop distractions etc.
There are over 45 very useful programs all in one small portable tool that will do or solve just about anything you would want. It’s not a toy and a hell of a price for what this tool does and can do for you compared to just about any other tool on the market.
